Apart from how well this rod presents, the first thing you will notice when you pick this rod up is how ridiculously light it is. It is like no other rod I have felt in it’s class. The skeleton grip setup not only looks good but it is exceptionally practical and gives great feel and sensitivity enhancing whats going on at the other end of the line. Since taking possession of this rod I have really put it through its paces and have found it to be very versatile. It is an exceptional rod for casting soft plastics anywhere from unweighted presentations to 1/6oz jigheads but my favourite application for this rod is casting suspending jerkbaits and crankbaits. With it’s fast action and the way the rod loads up it greatly reduces the chance of fish pulling hooks. If your in the market for a new rod then make sure you check this one out, Samurai fishing rods have really raised the bar with this one.
